Whimps are miniature Whomps that appear in Super Mario Galaxy 2. They help the Whomp King so they only appear in the Whomp King's battle. Luckily, unlike other Whomps, they only take a point of Mario's health, instead of taking all of his health. Also, they are more fragile than regular Whomps, and crumble as soon as they attack. Therefore, to defeat them all, one of the plumbers has to do is just simply get the Whimps to attack. The Bros. can also defeat a Whimp by doing a Star Spin or jump on them.

Whimps are about the size of Mario. Their eyes are black half circles with red dots inside and no eyebrows. Their mouths are peanut shaped with one tooth on the top-right and a red tongue. Other than that and size, Whimps look exactly like regular Whomps.
In the second and third phases of the Whomp King battle, the Whomp Kong stomps a foot to make three (five in the third battle phase) Whimps break off from the ground. After that, the Whimps instantly start chasing after the player. Once they get close enough, they jump and land flat on their faces, attempting to crush Mario or Luigi.

Whimps are more fragile and less damaging than regular Whomps, taking only a point of the player's health if they land on Mario or Luigi. They also disintegrate as soon as they attack, regardless of if they hit. The player can knock back a Whimp by doing a spin, or defeat it by performing a jump or Ground Pound. All Whimps disappear when the Whomp King tries to crush the player.
*Whimps could possibly be baby Whomps.

First appearance Super Mario Galaxy 2 (2010)
Variant of Whomp

Whimps[1] are miniature Whomps that appear in Super Mario Galaxy 2, serving a similar role to them as Thwimps do to Thwomps. Unlike normal Whomps, they have only one tooth; their faces are also flatter, their bodies are less rectangular, and they have square, arm-less hands. They appear only in the Throwback Galaxy mission Return of the Whomp King, where they help the Whomp King in his battle against the player.
