Rhomps[1] are enemies in Super Mario Galaxy 2. They are encountered in the Slipsand Galaxy only. 18 Rhomps appear in the sand slide area, where they attempt to flatten Mario or Luigi, causing him to lose a life instantly. Rhomps resemble tube-shaped stones with smiley faces and a circular stone with square designs on it attached to each side. While similar to Spindels in both design and behavior, Rhomps have several differentiating features, such as smooth stone skin and no teeth or eyebrows. A Rhomp's face is very similar to that of a Grumblump.
