Lunar Colony is a battle course that appears as one of the new maps in Mario Kart 8 Deluxe. As its name implies, it takes place in space on the Moon, and resembles Rainbow Road in terms of futuristic design and crowds. Similar to Mute City, Big Blue, GCN Baby Park, Sky-High Sundae, and Wii Rainbow Road, the entire course takes place in anti-gravity. The course is divided into two parts: the moon and the colony, with the moon taking up a majority of the course. On the moon, gravity is low, and players can trick off the craters and fly far, similar to the moon section of 3DS Rainbow Road. On the colony section players can bump into Spin Boost Pillars to get a boost.
