Enemy Blocks are blocks appearing in Wario Land II and Wario Land 3. They appear throughout many levels and serve as obstacles, blocking Wario from accessing certain areas. These solid blocks cannot be destroyed by normal means. To break through them, the players have to pick up a stunned enemy or a portable object and throw them at the obstacles. The impact will then break the blocks, clearing the path for Wario to progress further. In Wario Land II, Enemy Blocks are colored red and depict an image of a Pirate Goom. Sometimes they can also be found hidden in walls or pillars. In Wario Land 3, Enemy Blocks are colored pink and depict a symbol of a ball being thrown. Unlike before, Wario needs to have the Grab Glove or Super Grab Glove power-up before he can carry an enemy or object, and therefore destroy Enemy Blocks.
Enemy Blocks in Wario Land 3 appear in Out of the Woods, Bank of the Wild River, The Tidal Coast, A Town in Chaos, Beneath the Waves, The West Crater, The Big Bridge, The Steep Canyon, Cave of Flames, Above the Clouds, The Frigid Sea, Castle of Illusions, The Colossal Hole, The Warped Void, The East Crater, and Forest of Fear. Additionally, Desert Ruins, A Town in Chaos, The Big Bridge, Cave of Flames, Castle of Illusions, and The Colossal Hole contain terrain that behave like Enemy Blocks, in that an object has to be thrown at them to break them.
