W6 The West Crater

The West Crater is the sixth level on the western side of the music box world in Wario Land 3. This level is accessible after acquiring the red Tusk from The Steep Canyon's Red Chest, the blue Tusk from The Stagnant Swamp's Blue Chest, and the Green Flower from The Stagnant Swamp's Red Chest, causing the volcano to erupt. It is unlocked alongside The Colossal Hole.

This level takes place inside a volcano, where most of the fire appears at the bottom of the level and within the pipe. Rooms exist on the left and right sides of the level, though the room on the right side is blocked off by an iron wall.

Gray Chest: Right Glass Eye[edit]

The Right Glass Eye[1] is in the Gray Chest. It is available as soon as the level is unlocked.

The Gray Key is at the bottom of the level, where there are Bonfire Blocks near it. On the way down, there are Spearheads, Fire Robota, and Hammer-bots. Either the Fire Robota or the flaming pit is required to trigger Hot Wario, so that they can be broken after Wario completely catches fire, in order to acquire it.

To reach the Gray Chest, Wario must go to the door within the rocks on the left side of the level. Before going there, the damaged blocks around the middle must be broken first. To get there, Wario must go to the opening on the left side, and then Dash Attack the rocks to the left until the opening, then use a Smash Attack downwards, dash to the left, and then ground pound downwards. Within this door, there is a Silky, which is required to trigger Ball o' String Wario to break past the Itodama Blocks. If the damaged blocks are not broken, Wario cannot get past them. After breaking the way to the right side, the Gray Chest is up the ladder and then to the left.

The Right Glass Eye, along with the Left Glass Eye from The Colossal Hole' Gray Chest, are used to fit into the snake's eye sockets on the blue door at Tower of Revival, opening up the door found there.

Red Chest: Saber[edit]

Wario finds the Saber

To get the Saber from the Red Chest, the Super Jump Slam Overalls from the Castle of Illusions' Gray Chest is required. This allows Wario to break the solid blocks leading to a pipe all the way down the main area.

The Red Key is within the room on the left side of the level, where Wario must make his way to the opening on the left side, and then break the rocks to the left, down, left, and then down to reach. The key is at the topmost part of the room, where there are Enemy Blocks on the way that requires throwing the Silky to break them. The Red Key is atop a row of four Enemy Blocks.

The Red Chest is within the pipe in the middle at the bottom, where a solid block must be broken with a powered-up Smash Attack. Underneath the pipe, there is a corridor where there are two rails with carts on each rail's right side. Wario must ride them to reach the chest, while avoiding the fire pillars along the way. If Wario falls off the rails, he must go to the right up the ladder back to the cart. At the end to the left, the Red Chest is down the ladder.

The Saber does not affect the world in any way.

Green Chest: Castle Brick[edit]

The missing Castle Brick

To get the Castle Brick from the Green Chest, the Fire Drencher from Above the Clouds' Red Chest is required, causing the bonfires in a passageway to be extinguished.

The door to the Green Key and Green Chest is on top of the left side of the level. In order to get there, Wario can either bounce off the nearby Spearhead to reach the ledge where the fire was originally present, or to use a Hammer-bot to trigger Bouncy Wario and reach it. Within this door is a large room with many narrow platforms. To get to the Green Key, Wario must first climb down the ladder, and then go up, then right until there is a platform to go up, then go left, up, right, up, and then left. Some of the gaps require jumping across them while crouching.

After obtaining the Green Key, Wario must go down from there. He can either break the wall next to the Green Key and then descend the ladder, or to drop down below. From below, Wario must go up the block, and then go all the right, then up the staircase-like blocks, then left, up, right, up, left, up, and then right to encounter a group of damaged blocks. The Green Chest is across the gap, and requires the Dash Attack to reach.

The Castle Brick opens up new paths in the Castle of Illusions, by way of fitting bricks across the narrow gaps found in the rooms with the Green Chest and the Blue Chest.

Blue Chest: Spades Crest[edit]

Wario finds the Spades Crest

To get the Spades Crest from the Blue Chest, the Rust Spray from Castle of Illusions' Blue Chest is required, causing the iron wall to rust and making it destructible.

The iron wall is below Wario from where he starts, where it is to the right of the first Fire Robota. A door is behind it, which can be accessed after breaking past the iron wall. In this room, there are two updrafts. Wario must go up the first updraft while avoiding the apples thrown by the Applebies to the top, and on the way, break the series of damaged blocks on the left next to the Blue Key. At the top, there is a mini-game block behind the barrel. To lift the block, Wario must go to the Golf minigame room. To get there, Wario must go all the way right to the pit that can be reached by riding the second updraft, use a Smash Attack to break the floor within the pit until bottom, and then cross the updraft to the left to break the blocks to reveal the room. After completing the Golf minigame, the barrel is accessible, where Wario must go all the way up the second updraft and then go left to grab it. After taking the barrel, Wario must go down the pit to the left, and then go right to the next ledge with barrel intact. After that, the barrel must be thrown at the Blue Key surrounded by Enemy Blocks. After any of the ones next to the Blue Key is broken, it can be retrieved.

To access the Blue Chest, Wario must first break one of the two groups of damaged blocks below the Blue Key. After that is done, Wario must go up the first updraft to the topmost Appleby and use its apple to trigger Fat Wario, since Fat Wario is not affected by the wind from the drafts. He must drop down to one of the ledges where the damaged blocks were, go to the right down the second updraft, and then go to the left to where the Blue Chest is while wearing off the weight, after which it can be collected.

The Spades Crest does not affect the world in any way.
