Kamek[1] is an item debuting in Mario Kart World. It appears as a purple crystal ball with spell symbols swirling inside it, as well as a golden base designed after Kamek's face.

When used, it summons Kamek, who flies forward over the track, summoning many of a certain type of enemy ahead of all the racers in front of the player who used it, as well as turning them into that enemy temporarily.[2]
