The Bowser Suit is a somewhat rare item that first appears in Mario Party 2. When used, the character who used it will wear a Bowser costume and be able to take twenty coins from every opponent they pass during their roll. A Koopa Kid may even give a character dressed in a Bowser Suit coins as well.

History[edit]

Mario Party[edit]

A Bowser Suit is worn by the solo player in the minigames Bash 'n' Cash, avoiding hammer strikes from the team players, and Tug o' War, to help them tug the rope, in Mario Party.

Mario Party 2[edit]

The Bowser Suit is worn by the player during the 1-vs.-3 minigame Quicksand Cache in Mario Party 2. It is also a rare item, obtainable only during Item Minigames. The user can steal 20 Coins from players they pass, or even go by Baby Bowser to get every Coin he took from other players.

Mario Party 3[edit]

The Bowser Suit is not featured in any minigames in Mario Party 3, unlike before. It returns as an item, but it can also be bought from Baby Bowser at Item Shops for 10 Coins or be received from Bowser during a potential Bowser Suit Giveaway event on a Bowser Space.

Mario Party 4[edit]

The Bowser Suit is an item in Mario Party 4. It now looks like a Mushroom in Bowser's likeness, though it becomes a suit that applies on to the player. There is a 0.2% chance of receiving it from a Bowser Suit event on a Bowser Space.[citation needed] The user now steals 30 Coins from any opponent they pass, this time from a body slam. At Koopa's Seaside Soiree, the user wearing a Bowser Suit can choose their direction at Ukiki's Banana Peel Junction because according to the game, "Bowser doesn't slip on banana peels". At Bowser's Gnarly Party, the player wearing a Bowser Suit can get 50 Coins from Bowser, who notes their resemblance to him.

Mario Party 8[edit]

The Bowser Suit is a component of the Bowser Candy, exclusively in Bowser's Warped Orbit, in Mario Party 8. The suit now also includes Bowser's head. The user rolls Dice Blocks and can steal two Stars from any players they pass instead.

Mario Party: The Top 100[edit]

The solo player retains their Bowser Suit during the Tug o' War minigame in Mario Party: The Top 100, now sticking their head out of the suit's mouth. It is also an item in Minigame Match mode and works the same way as in Mario Party 8.

Mario Party Superstars[edit]

The Bowser Suit is worn by the solo player again in the returning minigames Tug o' War and Quicksand Cache in Mario Party Superstars.
