Buster Beetles[1][2] are strong and quick-moving bipedal Buzzy Beetles in Super Mario Bros. 3. They attack the player character by throwing White Blocks at them.

Super Mario Bros. 3[edit]
Buster Beetles move hurriedly on a platform until they encounter a White Block, which they pick up. If Mario (or Luigi) is far enough from a Buster Beetle, the enemy remains idle with the White Block above its head; however, if he approaches the enemy, it tosses the White Block at him and resumes moving along the ground. If the White Block hits the player character, he receives damage. Stomping on a Buster Beetle as well as hitting one with a fireball will defeat them, unlike most other Buzzy Beetles. Upon defeat, they yield 100 points.
A total of 28 Buster Beetles appear in Super Mario Bros. 3, with two in World 5-1 (where, in the absence of White Blocks, they simply appear as quick-moving enemies, not showing their throwing ability yet), seven in the second pathway of World 5-2, another seven in World 6-5, six in World 6-8, and another six in World 6-10.
