The CLEAR,[1] also called the "CLEAR" sign,[1] is a special block that appears in the Super Mario Land 2: 6 Golden Coins Select screen. If Mario hits it, he will turn into Bomb Mario, granting him the ability to delete a save file.
In Super Mario-kun, the block appears in the seventh volume, where Yokkī presses it to turn Mario into Bomb Mario and use him as ammo for a torpedo launcher.
Similar objects are the CLEAR pipe[2] in the Wario Land: Super Mario Land 3 Select Screen and the Erase Data Vault[3] next to the Virtual Boy Wario Land Data Vaults.
