A collector[1][2] is an enemy in Super Mario Land 2: 6 Golden Coins appearing only in the final stage of the Macro Zone, where there are two. A collector snatches 1-Up Hearts from ? Blocks and runs away from them, attempting to keep Mario from retrieving them, though if Mario catches up to and defeats the collector, he will be rewarded the missing heart.

The collector has similarities to the Witch, and is depicted as another form of that character in the Kodansha adaptation.[3] In Super Mario-kun, a kleptomaniac collector helps Mario and Carrot to face the Macro Zone.
