The Quick Swim[1] is a move appearing only in Super Mario Odyssey. It is performed by pressing during an underwater Ground Pound, much like a dive in the air. The Quick Swim propels Mario forward in the direction that he is facing, then reverts to normal movement. If Mario collides with a wall during a Quick Swim, he bounces off and is briefly stunned. This is also similar to diving. If this happens at the surface of water, Mario gets bounced up into the air before landing back in the water for the stun animation. The move emulates the underwater movement seen in Super Mario 64 up to Super Mario Galaxy 2.
