The objective of the game is to tap the object repeatedly to wake the person up. If the player makes the person wake up before the time runs out, he or she wins, but if the player fails to make the person wake up before the time runs out, he or she loses. In ''WarioWare Gold'', more items are introduced, including a ringing alarm clock and a cell phone alarm. The player instead must not tap the alarm clock or cell phone for the person to wake up and win the game.

Sleepy Head is one of Wario's microgames found in the Touch Training stage in WarioWare: Touched! and reappears in WarioWare Gold as one of Kat & Ana's microgames. It uses the same music from Very Attractive and an extended version of this microgame's music is used in Feel the Beat.

Gameplay[edit]

The objective of the microgame is to tap an object repeatedly to wake up the sleeping person. In Gold, there is a possible chance the item is a ringing alarm clock or a cellphone and the player has to avoid touching the clock/phone to win the microgame.

In Touched! the amount of times an object must be hit is pre-determined at three, four, and five times for each difficulty level respectively. In Gold the times are randomized between two and six, with the average amount decreasing as the microgame speed increases.

  • Level 1: The player must hit a large object (which can be a green, inanimate can, a gong, or a xylophone, the last two being exclusive to Gold) to wake up a girl.
  • Level 2: The player must hit a small object (which can be a drum, a castanet, or a guitar, the last two being exclusive to Gold) to wake up a boy.
  • Level 3: And the player must hit a moving object (which can be a swinging bell, an orange, sentient can known as Noisy Nuisance with humanoid legs that jumps around, or a hopping frog, the last two being exclusive to Gold) to wake up a man.
