- Not to be confused with Enemy Course.
Enemy Battles[1] are a type of course that appears in Super Mario 3D World and its Nintendo Switch port, Super Mario 3D World + Bowser's Fury. They are found in the first seven worlds of the game. Like for the Enemy Courses of Super Mario Bros. 3 and New Super Mario Bros. U, the only objective of these courses is to defeat the enemies inside to clear them. Unlike in those games, however, these courses must be completed to progress through the world. Most Enemy Battles take place in small fortress-like rooms that are decorated with coats-of-arms with a Bowser emblem. They always grant a Green Star upon the player defeating all enemies, and the Green Star must be collected to complete the course.
