Shelves[1] appear in the Super Mario franchise as objects in the second section of Shifty Boo Mansion in Super Mario 3D World and Super Mario 3D World + Bowser's Fury. If stood on, a shelf either retracts into the wall or extends out of it permanently until the level is restarted. One of the shelves (the one that retracts to the left) on the left side of the room contains a Green Star behind it.
