Searchlights, also known as roaming searchlights,[1] are stage elements that appear in Super Mario 3D World and Super Mario 3D World + Bowser's Fury. In Searchlight Sneak, Cat Bullet Bills can fire only if the player stands in a searchlight. Searchlights can move, but if the player stands in a searchlight, a Bowser symbol will appear, and a searchlight will stop moving until it no longer points at the player. Cat Bullet Bills can still track the player if the player leaves the searchlight. Searchlights reappear in Spiky Spike Bridge Sneak, where they activate Spike Traps when a player stands in one.
