- Not to be confused with Cheep Cheep Reach.
Template:Racecourse Cheep Cheep Beach is the third course of the Mushroom Cup in Mario Kart DS and the third course of the Shell Cup in Mario Kart 8 and Mario Kart 8 Deluxe. It is a tropical beach that resembles Cheep-Cheep Island from Mario Kart: Super Circuit.
Course layout
The course is relatively short; it starts out on a boardwalk and then racers run over a Dash Panel launching racers onto sand. Players then turn under a rock, similar to that from Mario Kart: Double Dash!!'s Peach Beach. After being launched from another booster, racers land on a beach with Sidesteppers that cause the drivers to spin around if they make contact. There are two ramps racers can use to avoid items and water on the track. After a slight turn, racers encounter two Cheep Cheeps bouncing out of the water. Following the Cheep Cheeps, there is a twisting jungle that finishes off the course.
Missions
The missions 1-4 and 2-5 take place on this course.
In mission 1-4 the player starts in the entrance of the jungle part facing backwards and has to use the Star to hit 5 Cheep Cheeps. In mission 2-5 the player has to pick up 20 coins.
Mario Kart 8 / Mario Kart 8 Deluxe
Cheep Cheep Beach returns in Mario Kart 8 and Mario Kart 8 Deluxe as the third track of the Shell Cup. Much like in Cheep Cheep Lagoon from Mario Kart 7, the course now has a banner with the course name in it, while the starting banner has been redesigned to resemble a volleyball net. The course, like the other retro courses, has received an HD upgrade in visuals, and has a live-recorded cover version of its theme. The water tide no longer changes, anymore. Due to that, Cheep Cheeps now swim in the water instead of hopping on the course. Furthermore, a few of them now occasionally jump over where the racers glide from the boardwalk and where racers jump off the ramp, serving as obstacles. Piantas are now seen at the starting line. The start of the course where the boardwalk merges into the sand has been replaced with a gliding pad - not to mention that the course itself has high tide. Underneath the sea, coral reefs are now present. The last turn before the start and finish line now has a mud on the corner, which a racer can use an item such as a Mushroom to cut through the mud. On the last stretch of the dirt section before the finish line, two ramps have been added for racers to perform a trick off of.
Staff ghost
The staff ghost for this track is Koopa Troopa on the Steel Driver, with a time of 2:11.220. In Mario Kart 8 Deluxe 200cc, the staff ghost is Lakitu with a time of 1:25.089.
