Madpoles are uncommon enemies that calmly swim on the water surface. As they spot Mario, they swim at his direction, and will keep doing so if Mario dives into the water. They can be defeated by almost any attack. Madpoles appear in Rammerhead Reef, The Bowser Express, Deepwater Dungeon, Sprawling Savanna Rabbit Run and Pipeline Boom Lagoon.
