The Big Boo is a recurring boss who first appeared in Super Mario World. He is a translucent white Big Boo and secret villain of the game.
History
Super Mario series
Super Mario World
The Big Boo is a hidden boss found in the Secret Donut Plains Ghost House.[1] He has two normal Boos accompany him in battle. The Big Boo can only be injured when he is visible, so Mario has to throw a Grab Block at him at the right moment. Once hurt, he will become almost invisible, moving somewhere else and reappear. The Big Boo needs to be hit three times to be defeated. Mario or Luigi could touch the boss without being hurt, instead they must be wary of the normal Boos. Once The Big Boo is defeated, the new path to Star World will be shown.
Super Mario Advance 4: Super Mario Bros. 3
The Big Boo reappears in the GBA remake of Super Mario Bros. 3, again as a boss who Mario has to fight against. He appears only in the e-reader's scanned level Doors o' Plenty where he plays the exact same role to that of Super Mario World except this time he could hurt Mario by touch. Instead of Grab Blocks, Mario must use Ice Blocks.
