The Big Boo is a recurring boss who first appeared in Super Mario World. He is a translucent white Big Boo and secret villain of the game.

History

Super Mario series

Super Mario World

The Big Boo is a hidden boss found in the Secret Donut Plains Ghost House.[1] He has two normal Boos accompany him in battle. Big Boo flys at Mario or Luigi to injure him when he is visible, so Mario has to throw a Grab Block at him to defend himself. Once hurt, he will be invicible, moving somewhere else and reappear. The Big Boo could be defeated by throwing Grab Blocks at his face three times and will lose against Mario. Once The Big Boo is defeated, the new path to Star World will be shown.

Super Mario Advance 4: Super Mario Bros. 3

The Big Boo reappears in the GBA remake of Super Mario Bros. 3, again as a boss who Mario has to fight against. He appears only in the e-reader's scanned level Doors o' Plenty where he plays the exact same role to that of Super Mario World.
