The Swiss Cheese Alps is a mountain range appearing in The Super Mario Bros. Super Show! episode "Koopenstein". Its name is a reference to the Swiss Alps and Swiss cheese, with the mountains comprising it being green and filled with holes, giving them a slight resemblance to the cheese. A small village and Dr. Koopenstein's tower and laboratory are located here, the former of which may be based on the village of Chamonix, which Frankenstein visits in the Mary Shelley novel Frankenstein.
During the episode, Mario, Luigi, Toad, and Princess Toadstool travel to the Swiss Cheese Alps to defeat Dr. Koopenstein and Mouser at the request of the villagers and the village mayor.
