Fling Poles are objects in the Bowser's Fury campaign of Super Mario 3D World + Bowser's Fury. They are tall blue springs, each topped by an orange sphere. They function similarly to Poles and Volbonans when Mario captures them in Super Mario Odyssey, allowing him to propel himself forwards a great distance. By climbing the blue spring of the Fling Pole to reach the top, Mario performs a handstand, similarly to when he climbs poles and trees. From the top, the player can pull Left Stick backwards and aim with it and Right Stick. When Left Stick is released, Mario is sent flying forwards, and once he touches the ground, he automatically dashes for a short amount of time. While Left Stick is pulled back, the player can press B Button to cancel the action and allow Mario to fall to the ground without being flung.

Most Fling Poles are placed consecutively to help reach a Cat Shine. To complete the mission Gazing over the Falls, Mario must fling between four Fling Poles to reach an island in the sky. To complete the mission Toad Brigade: Cuddly Castaway, Mario must fling between three Fling Poles (with an optional one to the side housing a Super Bell in a bubble) to reach and rescue Banktoad. Additionally, one Fling Pole is placed near the Ruins Giga Bell, one is on the floating island where the "Gazing Down at the Islands" Cat Shine is collected, and two consecutive Fling Poles are placed to the northeast of Clawswipe Colosseum. Two Fling Poles are also on top of Clawswipe Colosseum, and they can be used to collect the final Cat Shine Shard of the island and complete its mission Five Cat Shine Shards.

Fling Poles can also appear on top of every lighthouse across Lake Lapcat. By collecting the five Cat Shines of an island, a Fling Pole appears atop the island's lighthouse and raises a golden flag that has cat ears and Mario's emblem on it. These flags resemble those of Goal Poles and Checkpoint Flags.

Boomerang Mario or Fire Mario can throw a boomerang or fireball, respectively, at a Fling Pole to make it sway back and forth for a brief moment; the amount it sways is dependent on whether the projectile hits the Fling Pole's base, center, or top.
