Buddy is a character in Mario & Luigi: Brothership. He is a young boy from Offandon Island who develops a friendship with Bowser Jr..

History

When Mario and Luigi are first stranded on Offandon Island, Buddy helps them excape in the hope of reuniting the island, but gets scolded by Bowser Jr. that regrets becoming his friends for helping them. Buddy keeps getting involved with Junior even if he doesn't consider him his friend anymore, with Kamek trying to make Junior change idea, and also intervening on trying to save Junior from the Extension Corps, getting Glohmed in the process. In the end they reconcile and become friends again.
