Tiny Wario, also known as Small Wario,[1][2] is one of Wario's many transformations in the Wario Land series. When small, he does not wear a hat and is either bald or has a mohawk, unlike his normal self.

History[edit]

Super Mario Land 2: 6 Golden Coins[edit]

This transformation is first seen in Super Mario Land 2: 6 Golden Coins after Mario defeats Fire Wario. In this form, Wario simply flees from the castle. Unlike later games, he is fully bald.

Wario Land series[edit]

Wario Land: Super Mario Land 3 / Virtual Boy Wario Land[edit]

Like Small Mario, in Wario Land: Super Mario Land 3 and in Virtual Boy Wario Land, Wario becomes this when damaged by an enemy. He can no longer body-slam, and taking damage in this state results in losing a life. Small Wario can still throw coins, and pick up enemies as normal. However, any type of pot can revert him back into his pudgier self. Wario appeared as Small Wario in the North American commercial for Wario Land: Super Mario Land 3.

Wario Land II[edit]

In Wario Land II, Wario is transformed into Tiny Wario when hit by a Wizard's magic. In this state, Wario cannot attack any enemies, but he is able to leap higher and go through small holes. The physical condition is reversed if Wario falls into water or gets hit by an enemy.

Wario Land: Shake It![edit]

In Wario Land: Shake It!, a form of Wario called Mini Wario appears, but unlike Tiny Wario, it is just a smaller version of normal Wario with no physical changes whatsoever. This form is gained by going through a shrinkbarrel's large opening, and it can be reversed by entering the smaller side.

WarioWare series[edit]

WarioWare: Touched![edit]

While Tiny Wario does not directly appear in WarioWare: Touched!, the pose Wario-Man makes in the Game Over screen resembles that of Tiny Wario's art from Virtual Boy Wario Land.

WarioWare: Smooth Moves[edit]

In WarioWare: Smooth Moves, Wario receives a small, pink motorbike from Penny that shrinks him and separates him into multiple Tiny Warios that raid a strawberry farm, setting up for the level Forever Form Baton. Excluding microgame sets, it is the penultimate stage of the game, with Orbulon's stage being the last. In this game, Tiny Wario has a yellow singlet and blue shoes and yellow gloves. After the player completes Forever Form Baton, Wario reverts back to his regular form by absorbing his clones.

Game & Wario[edit]

In Game & Wario, robotic MechaWario minions resembling Tiny Wario are the main enemies in the minigame "Arrow".

WarioWare Gold[edit]

In WarioWare Gold, multiple Tiny Warios appear in the boss microgame Balloon Brigade in Wario's Touch League stage. They are also pictured on balloons in Wario Interrupts as a distraction Wario Deluxe has for the player to eliminate.

Other appearances[edit]

Rhythm Heaven Megamix[edit]

Rhythm Heaven Wiki article: Tiny Wario

Tiny Warios (in their Smooth Moves design) make an appearance in the Wario... Where? challenge set of Rhythm Heaven Megamix. The set's version of Freeze Frame features Tiny Warios as the racers Dr. Crygor must take photos of, replacing the regular race cars from the original version.
