Template:Quote2 Krimps are short, purple Kremling enemies described as "Kremdogs"[1] who appear in Donkey Kong Country 3: Dixie Kong's Double Trouble! and Donkey Kong Land III. Krimps are common enemies in both games, and they are the successor to Klaptraps from Donkey Kong Country and Klampons from Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy's Kong Quest. Like their predecessors, Krimps walk on fours and have a set of large, sharp teeth they constantly chomp.
History
Donkey Kong Country 3: Dixie Kong's Double Trouble!
In Donkey Kong Country 3: Dixie Kong's Double Trouble!, Krimps are vulnerable from the back (unlike Klampons and Klaptraps) and on the top. The Kongs can quickly defeat a Krimp by either jumping onto it or throwing a barrel at it. Dixie Kong or Kiddy Kong can also defeat Krimp by rolling into it from behind; they cannot roll into Krimp from the front, else it bites them. Some Krimps move faster than others, especially in later levels. A Krimp appears on the "Bash the Baddies!" Bonus Level title card.
In Dixie Kong's Photo Album, a photograph of a Krimp is categorized under the Kremling Kreeps enemy class.
Krimps appear in ten levels. In the Game Boy Advance version, they appear in two more levels, both located in Pacifica:
- Skidda's Row
- Bobbing Barrel Brawl
- Rocket Barrel Ride
- Blazing Bazukas
- Low-G Labyrinth
- Barrel Drop Bounce
- Koindozer Klamber
- Poisonous Pipeline
- Stampede Sprint
- Tyrant Twin Tussle
- Cliffside Blast (Game Boy Advance version)
- Surf's Up (Game Boy Advance version)
Donkey Kong Land III
In Donkey Kong Land III, Krimps retain their role from Donkey Kong Country 3: Dixie Kong's Double Trouble!. A Krimp still appears on the "Bash the Baddies" title card. They appear in twelve levels:
- Koco Channel
- Black Ice Blitz
- Polar Pitfalls
- Surface Tension
- Tundra Blunda
- Rockface Chase
- Tropical Tightropes
- Ugly Ducting
- Stalagmite Frights
- Whiplash Dash
- Haunted Hollows
- Rainforest Rumble

Trivia
- When defeated in cascade levels, the sound they make is a lower-pitched version of Re-Koil's cry, compared to the normal cry that originally belonged to Krusha, Rambi, and King K. Rool. Their cry also echoes when defeated in those levels.
- When the "Color" cheat is activated, a blue Krimp is shown the "Bash the baddies!" title card, even though there are no blue Krimps in the game, even with the cheat activated. The color is closer to purple, due to the Krimp having the same palette as Dixie.
- The Klaptraps that would appear in Donkey Kong 64 look very similar to Krimps, having their dog-like behavior and wearing collars around their necks.
