“If my calculations are correct, the blue somehow doubles Bowser's weight while airborne. With that doubled weight, Bowser can slam into the ground with incredible force!”
Toadbert, Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story

The Body Slam is an out-of-battle technique in Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story and its remake, Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story + Bowser Jr.'s Journey that Bowser learns after the Mario Bros. defeat Wisdurm in the Energy Hold and go into the Joint Tower. This move is required to exit the Tower of Yikk. It gives Bowser the ability to flip in the air, retreat to his shell, and slam back down to the ground, similar to a traditional Ground Pound. With this, Bowser will be able to trigger big pink switches. This special move can also be used in certain areas such as Bumpsy Plains and Bowser's Castle where there are signs of cracks in the ground. Also, in certain areas, he is able to dodge moving obstacles that will advance him farther in the game. However, Bowser cannot Body Slam an enemy to start a battle. This move can also be used to activate the golden panels found on the ground with an image of Bowser's shell. After this move is unlocked, Mario and Luigi can enter the Flab Zone whenever they want.
