Template:Character-infobox Gooma is Goombario and Goombaria's kind grandmother in the game Paper Mario. Mario only needs to talk to her once throughout his entire adventure. She, along with the rest of the Goomba family, lives in Goomba Village.

Gooma writes a letter to Goombario during the party's adventure, which the player can read at the Post Office in Toad Town.

  • She's my grandma, Gooma. I hope she lives forever! She's the greatest! When she starts telling old stories, she always says, "When I was young, I was very popular with the boys."

  • Gooma's name is a portmanteau of "Goomba" and "grandma". She, like Goompa, actually notes this namesake upon meeting Mario.
  • It is implied that she taught Tayce T. how to cook.
  • According to Gooma, she looked like a lot like Goombaria back when she was a child.
  • She finds Mario attractive as she says he is quite the looker.
