Giant Luma, Super Mario Galaxy 2

Supermassive Galaxy is the first galaxy of World 4 in the game Super Mario Galaxy 2. Supermassive Galaxy depicts many common Mario enemies and elements at an extraordinary size. Some include Piranha Plants, Lumas, coins and Platforms. The concept can be compared to that of Giant Land from Super Mario Bros. 3 or the 'huge' part of Tiny-Huge Island in Super Mario 64, in which enemies, blocks, and other objects were also giant compared to Mario himself. Mario can traversing across giant Warp Pipes and Blocks. Many enemies here include Grand Goombas, Huge Paragoombas, Gargantua Koopa Troopas, Piranhacus Gigantici, Mega Wigglers and Super Thwomps. The Grand Goombas and Paragoombas can be defeated the normal way, by spinning and kicking, and the Gargantua Koopa Troopas can only be defeated by using a Spin Drill. Piranhacus Gigantici, Mega Wigglers, and Super Thwomps cannot be defeated.

The Starting Planet is an area made of Brick Blocks. A giant Luma is found on it. The player will encounter several giant enemies such as Grand Goombas, Giant Piranha Plants and Thwomps. Most of them are invincible. The Comet Medal can be found near one of the giant Goombas. There is also a giant Warp Pipe serving as an elevator and a giant Coin which the player can perform a Wall Jump off of to progress. The Launch Star can be found near two Thwomps. There is also is a shortcut by long jumping off the top off the first Super Thwomp. If the player performs a spin, they can break the gravitational pull and land on the Giant Koopas Planet.

Mario and the Gargantua Koopa Troopas on the Giant Koopas Planet.

This circle-shaped dirt planet is the second planet that players visit in this galaxy. It is populated by three giant Gargantua Koopa Troopas that continuously walk around it counterclockwise. It looks slightly similar to the planet in the Spin-Dig Galaxy where players fight Digga-Leg. They must use the Spin Drill found on this planet to defeat the three Gargantua Koopa Troopas.

On this planet, if players can jump repeatedly on any Gargantua Koopa Troopa shell eight times in a row and then continue to do so, they can earn extra lives until the total is 99.

Like the first one, this planet is made of giant Brick Block. However, the first path is made up of large Star Chips. Another giant Luma is seen here, as well as Grand Goombas, Piranhacus Gigantici and Huge Paragoombas. At the end of the planet, there is a series of yellow moving platforms. They will disappear as time progresses, so the player has to jump on them with timed movements. The Launch Star here will take the player to the Blooming Garden planet.

This planet is not accessed, but Mario flies through it after being launched by the second Launch Star from the Giant Koopa Planet. There are Star Bits found on the walls.

When the player lands on this planet, they'll notice it to be just a simple, grassy planet. However, when the player walks around it, flowers will start to appear and bloom. When the flowers completely cover the planet, a vine will sprout, allowing the player to reach the Power Star and complete the mission. If you can't get the Power Star by yourself just run over the Luigi ghost data and he will go to the Power Star.

This planet is shaped like a cylinder made of stones. This planet is inhabited by Mega Wigglers, the last two being enraged and running at a faster pace than the others. The player can get past them by using the Long Jump. The Power Star for Huge Trouble With Big Wigglers is located on top of a pole at the end of this planet.

Huge Trouble with Big Wigglers

Mario about to grab the Power Star.

The player will start out at the beginning of the Starting Planet. They must run along the brick path, wall jump up the coin and past the pipes. The player will need to avoid the Super Thwomps to get to the Launch Star. They will then go to the Giant Koopas Planet. The player must obtain the Spin Drill, and drill through the ground with the right timing to hit a Gargantua Koopa Troopa's underside and defeat it. Once all three Gargantua Koopa Troopas are defeated, a Launch Star will appear and take the player through the Giant Warp Pipe Planet and into the Giant Star Chips Planet.

The player must jump across the triangular platforms, across the pipes, and traverse the disappearing yellow platforms to get to the Launch Star. This Launch Star will take them to the Launch Star in the Blooming Garden Planet, and the player can spin again to get to the Stone Tube Planet. On the Stone Tube Planet, the player must run toward the pole at the end, avoiding the Mega Wigglers that walk around the planet. Once they reach the pole, the player must climb the pole and claim the Power Star on top.
