Honebon[1] are enemies in Super Mario Land 2: 6 Golden Coins. These skeletal fish are said to be reborn from the gathered spirits of Cheep Cheeps,[2] and their undead nature makes them nearly indestructible. Honebon appears alone and swims around a small territory, moving in a large upside-down V motion, especially in confined spaces. It can be defeated only by using a Star or from a Koopa Shell. Honebon are encountered in Fiery Mario–Special Agent and the second and third Turtle Zone levels.
