Diskun is the mascot for the Family Computer Disk System that has made cameo appearance and references within many Super Mario-related media.

History

Super Mario Bros. (Game & Watch)

Special edition (特製) of Super Mario Bros. for contestants of Famicom Grand Prix: F1 Race.
The Game & Watch shaped like Diskun

While not actually appearing in the game, a special version of the Super Mario Bros. Game & Watch was made that is shaped like Diskun. This special version was earned via a competition for Famicom Grand Prix: F1 Race. The winners, runner-ups and raffle wins won the Game & Watch.

Golf: Japan Course / Golf: U.S. Course

Diskun makes cameo appearances in Golf: Japan Course and Golf: U.S. Course on the scoreboard screen.

Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars

A toy version of Diskun is seen in the toy chest at the top of Booster Tower in Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars and its remake.

Super Smash Bros. series

In Super Smash Bros. Melee, Diskun appears as a trophy unlocked after the player achieves every bonus. In Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, Diskun appears as a spirit.

Mario & Luigi series

While not actually appearing in the final game, in the E3 demo of Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga there exist data for an enemy that greatly resembles Diskun, with the exception of the black color scheme and angry eyes.

WarioWare series

Diskun as a tatoo

In WarioWare: Touched!, the rock star in the microgame Power Chord has a tatoo of Diskun. Diskun also appears on a poster in 9-Volt's room in the opening. In WarioWare: Smooth Moves, Diskun appears on a poster again, but instead in 9-Volt's and 18-Volt's stages.

Super Mario Maker

Like many other Nintendo characters, Diskun appears in Super Mario Maker as a costume.

The Super Mario Bros. Movie

During the final battle of The Super Mario Bros. Movie, a sign that advertises a Disk-kun hardware store can be seen.
