This is a non-Mario character who has made only cameo appearances in the Mario series at most. It's worth an article as much as any other Mario Maker costume or Nintendo character cameo appearance in a microgame, both of which were previously already voted via proposals to not be sufficient for standalone articles. It's true, but we cover the crab in the Japan Course. Granted, that already had an article it could be handily added to. (Also, I imagine he has some sort of manga appearance we haven't discovered yet...) He probably should just be covered on the FDS page as he was before, but there is a bit of awkwardness to that when listing appearances that become otherwise removed from the FDS itself. I wonder if it would be valuable to create some sort of "List of Nintendo characters with multiple cameos in the Mario franchise" page. Right now, the vast majority of characters benefit from our slightly above average coverage of Smash Bros allowing us to still consolidate all of their cameos, but characters like Diskun or, say, Barbara the Bat, are scattered across the wiki with no easy redirect target (Barbara takes you to a separate implied character, who has a disambiguation leading to Assist Trophy, but Assist Trophy no longer includes Barbara). A place to consolidate "yeah, Diskun has done these six things, but they're not really all that notable" seems like it could be easier to navigate. 73.171.104.211 13:52, August 12, 2024 (EDT)

That's exactly why: the article already existed because of significant appearances justifying its creation, and from there we can add any other appearances that are worth mentioning like Japan Course (where they also happen to resemble a Mario-specific variant).
