Knockas are enemies introduced in Donkey Kong Country 3: Dixie Kong's Double Trouble!. These green lanky Kremlings hide in green barrels with menacing faces painted on them. They are the direct successor of Klobbers, a type of enemy introduced in Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy's Kong Quest, except Knockas each wear a barrel that is noticeably different from regular barrels. Knockas have two variants, Klasps and Kuchukas; the former climbs across a horizontal rope while hiding inside a TNT Barrel, while the latter stays inside a purple barrel and throws bombs at Dixie Kong and Kiddy Kong.

History

Donkey Kong Country 3: Dixie Kong's Double Trouble!

Knockas are enemies in Donkey Kong Country 3: Dixie Kong's Double Trouble!. They hide in their barrel at first, dormant, until being approached by Dixie Kong or Kiddy Kong, then the Knocka begins to run after them. Knockas cannot damage the player characters directly and opt for trying to push them into another enemy or a pit instead. A Knocka can be defeated if the Kong jumps onto it, picks up the Knocka, and throws it at a surface. In Dixie Kong's Photo Album, a Knocka is categorized under the Kremling Kreeps.

In the remake, Knockas use the same voice clips as Klobbers from the previous game. Additionally, the remake also introduces Krackas, a variant of Klasp behaving like Knockas.

Donkey Kong Land III

Knockas are enemies in Donkey Kong Land III. They act the same as before. The ending of the game erroneously titles Knockas as Krushas. Outside of international releases, a Knocka changes from green to red only while being carried, using the exact sprite and palette as a barrel when carried.
