Ryota Kawade is a game designer employed by Intelligent Systems. He directed the first three installments of the Paper Mario series.
History
Kawade studied machinery for factory jobs, but he decided he wanted to do a creative job, and decided to enter the game industry. He initially wanted to be a game planner, but as Intelligent Systems was only hiring designers and programmers at the time, he decided to sign as a designer instead.[1]
