Krashes (also known as Cart Kritters[1]) are Kritters who ride in Mine Carts uncontrollably. They appear in Donkey Kong Country and Donkey Kong 64. In the former game, Krashes have an identical appearance to green Kritters, or purple in the Game Boy Advance remake. In Donkey Kong 64, Krashes were given a distinct, muscular appearance and wield a club. Though they do not appear in Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy's Kong Quest and Donkey Kong Land 2, Krashes have a similar counterpart named Klanks, which ride in Roller Coasters.

In both games, Krashes exclusively appear in Mine Cart levels. In Donkey Kong Country, they appear in both Mine Cart levels, Mine Cart Carnage and Mine Cart Madness. In Mine Cart Carnage, Krashes ride a Mine Cart in the opposite direction of Donkey Kong and Diddy Kong, and if a Krash hits the Kongs, the player loses that Kong. Krashes are unaffected by a Kong jumping on them while riding on a Mine Cart, which instead hurts the Kong. In Mine Cart Madness, Krashes sit idly at the start of a track railing, and unlike in Mine Cart Carnage, the Kongs can safely jump on a Krash to hijack its Mine Cart and continue riding on the tracks. In Donkey Kong 64, Krashes appear in the Mine Cart Rides, riding on a track adjacent to the Kongs. A Krash swings its club to attack, but the Kong can jump to dodge it. If the Kong is hit by the club, they lose three DK Coins. When a Krash either drives into a pile of rocks or fall into a pit, they are defeated, but either way usually requires the active Kong to pull a lever to defeat Krash.
