Cutting It Close is one of Wario's microgames found in Smorgasbord Sampler and Speed Spin in WarioWare: Twisted! and returns as one of the microgames in the That's Life set within the Twist League in WarioWare Gold. The name is a play on the idiom "cutting it close", meaning to do something before time is up.
Gameplay
The game's purpose is to shave the face of a man called Shades by moving the razor. If successful, the game is won.
The player starts off the game with five seconds in the Spindex. If the player beats the game, then three more seconds are added to the timer.
- 1st level difficulty: Shades' face has a small amount of hair. He smiles when the game is won.
- 2nd level difficulty: Shades' face has more hair. He smiles with a gap in his teeth when the game is won.
- 3rd level difficulty: Shades' face has a bigger amount of hair. His nose drips with nasal mucus and he smiles when the game is won.
