The player has a look at the six Toads, two Boos, and four Baby Bowsers on the cards before changing to question marks before being shuffled around.

In gameplay, players take turns choosing a card by ground-pounding it. If they choose a Baby Bowser card, which also occurs if they do not choose a card within ten seconds, they are removed from the minigame. If a Boo card is selected, the players run off, and their turn order is changed. A Toad card allows the player to proceed to the next round. The winning player is whoever is in the minigame last.
