The First Power Moon before exposed.
The stone spire

The stone spire is a large solid object that appears in the Cascade Kingdom of Super Mario Odyssey. When the Power Moon for the mission Our First Power Moon is collected, the stone spire drops down, breaking a piece of ground and creating a permanent bridge to the rest of the kingdom.

Similar objects known as large pillars[1] appear in the Moon Kingdom. While capturing Bowser, the player is required to break these four pillars so that they will fall on top of the structure in the middle.

Another pillar appears earlier, which breaks a wall and creates a bridge to the 2D section.
