- This article is about the race course in Super Mario Kart. For the first Choco Island remix course in Mario Kart Tour, see RMX Choco Island 1.
Template:Racecourse Choco Island 1 is the first course of the Flower Cup in Super Mario Kart, reused as the second course of the Extra Flower Cup in Mario Kart: Super Circuit. Set on Chocolate Island, the course features patches of mud.
Overview

Choco Island 1 is a very short course and one lap typically takes not much more than 20 seconds to complete. Its hazards are Piranha Plants which will make the driver slide once contacted. Another obstacle is slippery mud, which makes it difficult to steer. There are also many small bumps in the road, causing karts to automatically hop somewhat, also increasing control difficulty. When driving off the regular road on the darker ground, the kart slows down extremely, unless a mushroom or a star is used. There is only one place where items can be obtained, just after the start.
Mario Kart: Super Circuit

Choco Island 1 reappeared in Mario Kart: Super Circuit, and is the second track in the Extra Flower Cup. It uses the background from Sunset Wilds. The Piranha Plant hazards were removed from the track, but an item box can be found at the left side of the wide portion near the end.
Mario Kart Tour
Choco Island 1 returns in Mario Kart Tour, making its debut in the Cooking Tour after its map was found in the game's files.
In this version, the starting S-curve's width is evened-out, many of the bumps after the initial set are removed (like with Choco Island 2), the curve with the mud patches is longer and evened-out, and the inside walls are thinner; the wall near the first few bumps has a gap in it, and a new wall is also added near the last turn. The course is favored by Pauline, Mario (Chef), and Dry Bones (Gold).
While many retro courses in Mario Kart Tour uses their original music arrangements, Choco Island 1 reuses the arrangement used for Choco Island 2 from Mario Kart DS.
Cooking Tour
In the Cooking Tour, Choco Island 1 serves as the tour's signature course. It appears as the first course in the Mario Cup, the third course in the Birdo Cup, and the location of the challenges in the Ludwig Cup, the Ice Mario Cup, and the Shy Guy Cup. It also has a Trick variant which appears as the third course in the Hammer Bro Cup and the second course in the Baby Daisy Cup, and a Reverse variant which appears as the second course in the Morton Cup and the first course in the Waluigi Cup.
Peach Tour
In the Peach Tour, Choco Island 1 appears as the first course in the Koopa Troopa Cup. It also has a Reverse variant which appears as the first course in the Dry Bones Cup, and a Trick variant which appears as the second course in the Roy Cup and the location of the challenge in the Baby Peach Cup.
