Chompy[1], also simply referred to as Chomp in-battle and in Goombario's Tattle, is one of Tutankoopa's Chomps that appears in Chapter 2 of Paper Mario. Chompy is the only Chomp in Paper Mario that can be battled; during the battle with Tutankoopa, he can summon Chompy to assist him in battle. His only attack is lunging at Mario, dealing three points of damage if not guarded. Chompy has higher-than-normal defense, so Mario must use his Super Hammer or damage-increasing badges like the Power Jump in order to damage him.
