Big Goombrats are a rare variety of Goombrats that appear in Super Mario Run. They can only be encountered during select courses in the Remix 10 mode. Like their smaller counterparts, they simply walk on the ground and turn around when they encounter a margin. While they do not actively try to attack Mario, Big Goombrats can still hurt him if touched from the sides. Big Goombrats will split into two regular Goombrats upon being stomped on, similarly to how Hefty Goombas divide into two Goombas in the New Super Mario Bros. games. As seen in the World 5-1 Special Remix Course, Big Goombrats also split if knocked with a Question Block from below. They can be defeated instantly by running into them while invincible.

Big Goombrats also appear in Super Mario Maker 2, whenever a Super Mushroom is added to a regular Goombrat.
