At the end of Paper Mario, Chompy, along with several other Chain Chomps, finally catch Tutankoopa. It is unknown if Chompy is really Chompy's name or if it is simply a nickname given to it by Tutankoopa. Chompy is the only Chain Chomp in Paper Mario that can be battled. Chompy is impervious to fire attacks.
