Fluzzard is a bird character that appears in Super Mario Galaxy 2. He appears in Wild Glide Galaxy and Fleet Glide Galaxy. In this game, Mario is seen holding onto Fluzzard just like how he did with Hoot in Super Mario 64 and competes against Jibberjays in a race throughout some stages. Players must control Fluzzard by pointing the Wii Remote in the direction they want to go. Pointing it upwards makes Fluzzard slow down and gain minimal height. Pointing it downwards makes the bird make a fast nose-dive.
Trivia
- 'Fluzzard' is a portmanteau of 'fly' and 'buzzard', which is a type of bird.
- Fluzzard resembles Ho-oh from Pokémon series
