Template:Ttydenemy Swoopulas are more powerful species of Swoopers that absorb HP from Mario (takes 2 HP per bite) in Paper Mario and Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door. Usually, at the beginning of battle, they will be perched on the ceiling. To get them down, Mario must hit them with either an item, Hammer Quake, or Hammer. A Superguard will also work. In the Thousand-Year Door however, normal Swoopulas start the battle in the air.
