A Bear[1] (also parsed bear)[2] is an enemy in the Mario Zone's second stage in Super Mario Land 2: 6 Golden Coins. They resemble teddy bears and are found riding atop Beach Balls, which they can use to traverse spiky and dangerous floors. Mario can jump or throw a fireball to defeat this enemy and control its ball. Mario can use the ball to safely cross spiked floors and get to previously unreachable areas.

A Bear also appears on the "Printing" screen of the Game Boy Camera.

(It appears on the rubber ball course. If you beat the Pū, Mario can move around on the tamanori. Very useful.)
