Crate and Peril: Difference between revisions
(Moved to gameplay section. My brother, A fish tied to a joystick would win crate and peril 9/10 times. As it says in my addition as long as the player is not an AI, or a fish, you cannot win crate and peril as the group if the solo player is human. This includes infants. Please play 10 round of crate and peril with the youngest person you know and get back to me. Until you have evidence to the contrary, I believe this change should remain, as it is an evident fact to anyone who as played.) Tag: Reverted |
(Then by your logic, there's still a 1/10 chance of a group winning the minigame, which is exactly my point and goes against your claim that it's impossible for the group to win. I'm aware it's an infamously solo-biased game but you're basing this on common experience and not looking at this technically. The game was obviously designed for either side to win, so it's still POSSIBLE for a group win; it all just comes down to player skill, so it's not "fact" that a solo win is guaranteed.) Crate and Peril is a 1-vs.-3 minigame in Mario Party 6 and Mario Party: The Top 100. Its name is a pun on the name of the retail store Crate & Barrel.
Introduction
The solo player chases the group players into a room with a stage, shrinking and sucking them into a box. The camera points inside the box, then the minigame starts.
Gameplay
The solo player's objective is to shake the box around and eliminate the group players by tilting the Spiny Shells into them. There are four small green dividers in the box that act as walls for the group players and Spiny Shells. The group players must survive for 30 seconds with at least one of them remaining in order to win.
Ending
In Mario Party 6, if the team wins, any players who are still standing will perform their victory animations from within the box. If the solo player wins, they will stand on the stage and perform their victory animation.
