Solo victory[edit]
Not sure how these are supposed to work, but I maintain that crate and peril cannot be won by the group if the solo player is a conscious human player. boot up dolphin and face me if you believe you can win

- The point was never about statistics. We all know how statistically improbable it is for a group to win the minigame. It is nevertheless possible to, so stating it is impossible is applying your own personal bias based on subjective experience rather than the objective fact. And the objective fact is that it is fully possible for the group to win.

- I agree that it is possible for the group to win, but it is only possible to win if the solo player is an easy AI (which has to gimp itself to a comical degree for you to have a chance at winning), or if the solo player throws. But yes, the fact it is possible is worth pointing out, which is why I emphasized the conditions of the solo player being human-controlled and not throwing the game. I don't think it is possible to win if neither of these are true. Search "mario party 6 crate and peril" on YouTube, and you will see ZERO videos of the group winning, unless one of the previously stated caveats are true, as well as 100's of comments complaining about how it is not possible for the group to win. I implore you to find one shred of evidence that a group of players can beat a human who is trying to win, I will gladly give up if you can, as I believe wikis should be based on facts and evidence, not based on theories, such as the one you and marioJC share; but so far I have not found ANY instances of the group being able to win against a solo human player who is trying to win. If it has not been documented even once during the 20 years this game has been out, can you honestly say it is possible? It would be like me claiming it is possible for a pig to fly, but we just haven't documented it yet.ThePerilousCrate (talk) 15:24, March 22, 2024 (EDT) ThePerilousCrate
- I appreciate you trying to prove your point, but if the edits are still counterproductive, it is better to focus on something else that you could help out with. Derekblue1(talk) 15:33, March 22, 2024 (EDT)
- ThePerilousCrate: Unfortunately, your points are irrelevant concerning the scope of MarioWiki. If you want include editorializing content, even well-supported by evidence (anecdotal or not) and in practice, and an in-depth discussion of game mechanics concerning Crate and Peril, and a lack of contradicting evidence, you will have to discuss broader matters concerning general coverage in the wiki. Please refrain from edit warring in the future. It's me, Mario! (Talk / Stalk) 16:55, March 22, 2024 (EDT)
