Snawfuls are snowman-like enemies that appear in Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story and its remake, Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story + Bowser Jr.'s Journey. They appear as snowmen with Fawful-like faces, red fezzes and a shovel for an arm, and assist Blizzard Midbus during his boss fight in Peach's Castle.
Battle
Blizzard Midbus uses his crown to create a group of four Snawfuls, which then aid him during his turns. Snawfuls can breathe an icy mist at Midbus that restores 30 HP and causes him to glow blue; for the next couple of turns, Midbus's power and defense are also increased for each Snawful to the point that his Ground Pound may instantly KO Bowser. Snawfuls also attack in tandem with Midbus during his Ground Pound attack: they get in formation and spit balls of ice at Bowser, which he must duck under in order to avoid damage. All the while, Midbus will scale the walls of the battle field towards the top screen, slipping occasionally; upon reaching the top side of the wall, Midbus looks towards Bowser for a few second before rolling into the wall on his side and then Ground Pounding. Bowser must also duck to counter this attack; the timing of the Snawful's ice balls can make it very hard to avoid taking damage.
Snawfuls take critical damage from fire-based attacks such as the Fire Flower Special Attack; in the original game, Snawfuls hide within their hats if Bowser uses his Flame or any multi-targeting Brawl Attacks like Bob-omb Blitz. When defeated they simply melt away, and Midbus eventually creates more. Bowser can inhale the Snawfuls to remove them from the battlefield and send them to Mario and Luigi, which also removes their hats in the original game. Once inside Bowser's body, the Snawfuls will attack the Mario Bros. in formation by spitting ice balls; a Snawful's shovel arm will point downward if targeting Luigi, and upward if attacking Mario. Being hit by any of the ice balls will briefly freeze Mario or Luigi, making it harder to dodge the rest of them.
As the Mario Bros. defeat the Snawfuls, they will melt as usual, with the cold air collecting inside Bowser; a counter will appear showing the number of Snawfuls defeated in the original game. After defeating at least five Snawfuls this way, Bowser breathes out a plume of cold air that freezes into a clump of ice above Midbus. Part of the clump of ice lands in his crown and sticks there, preventing him from releasing any more Snawfuls for the rest of the battle.
