Goomba Boards are wooden cutouts in the shape of Goombas and other entities that can give the player items if broken. They appear in Super Mario 3D Land. If the 3D mode is not on, they can easily be mistaken for the entity they look like. They block Mario's path but can easily be jumped on or broken using either Tanooki Mario's tail or a roll. There are 1-Up Mushroom and Warp Pipe cutouts in the game, as well as a Princess Peach sign integral to the plot.
Some Grand Goomba signs appear in the Mario Kart 7 course Piranha Plant Slide. They can be easily broken by getting into them with the vehicle, but will respawn regularly. There is also one bush sign that stands between the fences in an off-road area at the end of the course.
