Effect Lets Tanooki Mario turn into Statue Mario

Statue Leaves are items found only in Super Mario 3D Land. The Statue Leaf is an alternative version of the Super Leaf that resembles a stone carving of it. Statue Leaves replace Super Leaves in the special levels, and first appear in Special 1-1. Statue Leaves are also contained within Deluxe StreetPass Gifts. Grabbing a Statue Leaf turns Mario or Luigi into his Tanooki or Kitsune form, respectively, with a red or green scarf around his neck. With a Statue Leaf, the Tanooki form regains the ability to transform into a statue (in place of the Ground Pound), thus avoiding enemies (which cannot damage the player) and hazards. This makes this power-up similar to the Tanooki Suit from Super Mario Bros. 3 but without the ability to fly or transform on the ground.
