He is good friends with Shigeru Miyamoto, and as such, most of the games he has composed are Shigeru Miyamoto's work. He is most famous for his works on the Mario Bros. series and Legend of Zelda series music. The memorable overworld themes of Super Mario Bros. and Super Mario World were his doing, among many other catchy tunes. He sometimes appears at Nintendo Events, like E3, alongside Shigeru Miyamoto.
