A Ghost Barrel is a ghastly type of barrel found in Donkey Kong Country 3: Dixie Kong's Double Trouble, though they only appear in the level Creepy Caverns in KAOS Kore. Ghost Barrels appear and disappear every few seconds. They also appear in the game's pseudo-sequel, Donkey Kong Land III, and appear in all the cave levels, especially Stalagmite Frights. These objects can help the Kongs reach to higher areas, but can also make them fly into enemies, such as Buzzes. They are somewhat similar to the Ropes in Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy's Kong Quest.
